Leonida is the fictional state that contains Vice City.

On its official Only in Leonida page, Rockstar highlights six destinations: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga. This is a useful starting point for getting to know GTA VI's world before release. You can use it to find official images and compare places without mistaking a fan-made diagram for the finished in-game map.

What to look for in the official gallery

Images in Rockstar's screenshot section are labelled by character and location. Use these names to start getting to know the state:

  • Vice City: the collection of images carrying this name
  • Leonida Keys: a separate series of shots of this destination
  • Grassrivers: images labelled with the region's name
  • Port Gellhorn: its own group of official screenshots
  • Ambrosia: a separate series under this name
  • Mount Kalaga: look for Mount Kalaga National Park in the gallery

Keep the original spellings in your bookmarks: they make it easier to return to the right collection when a discussion uses a different Russian rendering of a name. Start with a wide shot, then look at the details in the same series. Compare architecture, roads and surroundings within the official collection before assigning a random shot from a video to a particular place.

How to read the images without jumping to conclusions

A screenshot lets you examine the area it shows, but it does not, by itself, prove where a road leads beyond the frame or how long a journey will take. It cannot reliably establish the size of the whole state, plot a route between regions or confirm that a building entrance is accessible to the player.

For your own notes, save the place name, a link to the original image and the detail that interests you. If you want to discuss a theory about a location, begin with "it looks like" and include the shot it is based on. This leaves room for an interesting analysis and helps others check your reasoning.

Collectible locations, hidden caches and verified routes should be recorded with the platform and game version on which they were found. Until those checks are made, this list of places helps you study Leonida, but does not replace a route guide.
